Artist Statement:

My project is based on people in the world trying to save our planet. In this painting it shows a woman in front of a field of flowers trying to stop the big wave coming her way to destroy the field of flowers. She's a strong woman trying to make our planet a better place by taking care of it. It relates to the theme, "Climate Change '' with changes in our planet destroying many things. Most people tend to protect and keep the earth safe by doing many things before and after a natural disaster or when the climate changes out of the blue. My painting also splits with peace and war against the wave. One half is full of pretty colors of flowers blooming, while the other half contains dark colors along with the big wave. The woman is in the middle of it, representing peace. She's doing the best she can to keep the flowers safe, just as us humans trying our best to keep everyone and everything around us protected, it's the best we can all do.
