Artist Statement:
My piece “In the Bag” addresses how the future of our climate, and particularly our ocean, is in the hands of large corporations. The ocean is harmed by oil spills, shark finning, plastic pollution, and so much more, all for the sake of profit. Our oceans, and thus our entire climate, is within the hands of the 1%, and just like a goldfish fish in a bag, the future doesn’t look promising.
