Artist Statement:

Factory farming accounts for an estimated 37% of methane emissions worldwide. This piece highlights the violent and destructive nature of the practice.
The vivid, unnatural colors reflect the unnaturalness of the act of factory farming, that is, of farming that treats animals as machines. The deconstruct-ed forms highlight how in this process the livestock become the fragmented sum of their parts.
