Artist Statement:

This piece came from a meditation about how our planet is endangered by climate change. As the temperatures rise, represented by the orange overdye over a green field, many species, including birds, marine life, mammals, trees, pollinated flowers and food crops like tea, are suffering and having to adapt to changes or die off. The mind of an artist thinks in shapes, colors and images. This is a walk through the mind of this artist as she contemplated how adversely our planet is being affected by our very existence and
use of carbon-emitting devices.

Jamie Graham is an artist living in Waco, TX. She focuses mainly on textiles, but works in other mediums as well.
